Over the past 19 months, the Whistler community has worked together to update our Official Community Plan (OCP).

Draft OCP Mapping:
This draft went to RMOW Council on November 15, 2011 for first reading. It will remain a draft until second and third reading have been held, as well as public hearing, followed by a ministerial certificate and then adoption.
OCP update Next Steps:
- Continue consultations with the Squamish Nation and Lil'wat Nation, Provincial agencies and the Squamish-Lillooet Regional District (SLRD).
- Integrate input from consultations into OCP Goals, Objectives, Policies and Development Permit Area Guidelines.
- Second reading by RMOW Council will take place in early 2012.
Led by the Resort Municipality of Whistler (RMOW), the OCP update has been a collaborative process, with the community involved at every step of the way. This OCP will create an updated policy implementation tool in support of our Whistler2020 vision:
"To be the premier mountain resort community – as we move toward sustainability"
