Atlantic Canada House

March 15 - 18: Longhorn Pub Discover the best of Canada's East Coast at Atlantic Canada House in Whistler. For three days during the 2010 Vancouver Paralympic Winter Games you'll experience our famous East Coast hospitality, right here on the West Coast. From great performers to incredible cuisine, Atlantic Canada House will highlight the rich and varied culture of this region. Atlantic Canada House is a pan-Atlantic partnership comprised of the Government of Canada, represented by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency, and the Governments of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland and Labrador.
- Once again, Atlantic Canada House will showcase Atlantic Canadian culture with some of the most talented, original and exciting performers in the world. Monday, March 15th marks Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island Day and will be celebrated with performances by Two Hours Traffic (PEI) during the après ski timeframe, followed by Matt Mays (NS) at night. On March 16 th , New Brunswick and Newfoundland and Labrador Day will showcase Fayo (NB) during the après ski, with a soon to be named act from Newfoundland and Labrador taking to the stage that night.
- St. Patrick's Day is always a must-attend event on either Coast. This year, Atlantic Canada House will be the place to be in Whistler! Paper Lions (PEI) and David Myles (NB) will entertain the afternoon crowd, and rounding out the night will be The Navigators (NL), followed by legendary musical dynamo, Ashley MacIsaac (NS). With this incredible lineup, our house will have crowds two-stepping, toe-tapping, and rocking out loud in support of the Paralympics!

Austria House
- The Austria House, built by the Austrian Passive House Group, is a ultra-low energy building designed to showcase what's possible in terms of energy-efficient construction in Canada.
Located on the main entrance to Lost Lake Park, between the upper and lower villages and a short-walk from the Village Stroll, the building is home to the Austrian Olympic Committee and Austrian Public Broadcasting, which will broadcast live Games coverage to audiences back home during the 2010 Winter Games.
Pride House
- Pride House pavilion is an Olympic first and will be located at the luxurious Pan Pacific Whistler Village Centre. The pavilion is designed to create a venue to have fun, celebrate our authentic selves, embrace diversity and be inclusive, to educate and evoke change in homophobia in the sports culture, to be a catalyst in Human Rights to protect Gays & Lesbians in countries of conflict where their governments have laws that openly discriminate against homosexuals. Whistler Adaptive Sports House
- The Dubh Linn Gate, located in the Pan Pacific Mountainside, recently announced the creation of Whistler Adaptive Sports House for the Paralympic Games, which run March 12 to 21, 2010. All of the proceeds collected through the fundraising efforts during the Paralympic Games will be directed to the creation of the new Jeff Harbers Adaptive Sports Centre. The Dubh Linn Gate and Pan Pacific have been actively raising funds through the lead up to and during the Olympic Games. To date, they have raised $2,300. Their contribution adds to the community legacy being created for individuals with a disability in Whistler, which is being named for the co-founder and first President of the American Friends of Whistler. The Dubh Linn Gate and Pan Pacific join the American Friends of Whistler, Scotiabank, Andrew Tarret Architecture, Borden Ladner and Gervais, the Troutsmen Club of Leisure, First Canadian Development Corp., and the Whistler-Blackcomb Foundation in supporting the project.
