Do you know the Village inside and out, have your favourite routes in town and your secret runs on the mountain? Are you in-the-know and on top of what's going on in Whistler? Do people ask you for the latest updates in town before they check the local paper or a website? You need to join ASK ME! I'm a Local, a new initiative designed to welcome newbies and visitors to experience and enjoy Whistler's hospitality and help them get the inside scoop.
Whistler's ASK ME! I'm a Local program is a grass-roots, community-led program designed to enhance the experience of visitors to Whistler by connecting them with community ambassadors.
While this permanent volunteer program will provide valuable tourist information and support existing programs it's also intended to help residents to share their passion for Whistler with guests. Guests want to know about our resort and community and the ASK ME! I'm a Local program is just one way locals can given guests a friendly welcome and personal touch. By tapping into the broad spectrum of Whistler's residents, the program is delivered in five languages— English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese—and activated wherever and whenever an ASK ME! I'm a Local button-wearer has the opportunity to help a guest.
To build our premier mountain resort, as it moves towards a sustainable future, we need to continue delivering superior customer service and a true Whistler experience to our guests. With a quick orientation to this volunteer program, you'll be prepared to wear your ASK ME! I'm A Local button around town and make a difference in someone's day.
